Depersonalisation and Derealisation (DP/DR)

Depersonalisation and derealisation (DP/DR) can be especially frightening because these experiences can affect your familiar sense of being yourself and of feeling present in the world. You may feel detached from your thoughts, emotions or body, or experience your surroundings as strange, distant or unreal. It is common to worry that you will never feel like yourself again. Although these experiences can be frightening and confusing, they are well recognised and recovery is possible.

How I can help

I have worked with clients experiencing depersonalisation and derealisation and understand how frightening, confusing and isolating these experiences can be. I enjoy keeping my knowledge up to date so that the therapy I offer reflects current evidence and thinking.
